The antibiotics seem to have cleared the mastitis and the black lamb is now feeding well from the mother.

We have just fitted docking rings to all of the male lambs to avoid any testosterone incidents later.

The alfalfa seems to have had a growing spurt and Georgos is coming tomorrow to cut it. Hopefully we will bale it by the weekend.

The corn is not yet "as high as an elephant's eye" but seems to be growing well.

And the next one please ...

Another lamb born this morning. Almost black. Found him abandoned in the middle of the field. Something obviously wrong here.

Unfortunately it appears that mum has mastitis and she won't feed him. Bottle feeding is on the agenda for a while ..

Antibiotics for mum and we're going to have to take milk from her good nipple to feed to the little man.

A fourth lamb was born this morning.

And we got to work on docking the tails of the first 3

We are doing a fundraiser to support the ongoing care of the strays and mistreated animals in our care. If you can help, or know anyone that can help. Please go to the link.
