It took all of last week to collect the olives by hand and prune the trees with handsaws. A fund will be set up for a chainsaw before next winter.
.......... Followed by a visit to the physiotherapist for me to sort out my back and shoulders.
Today we took our 8 sacks of (very) poor quality olives to the factory. We will pick the oil up on Wednesday.
Banna still has a problem with the sores on his underside. Can't seem to get on top of it, so we might need to resort to antibiotic injection.
Good news ! Our house rent has come down quite a bit so we don't need to move after all. This also means that we don't need to re-home Jaco.
Missing in action so far, after 3 months. Just one chicken.
Not bad at all, for amateurs.

Nice documentation, Viki and Steve. I have just discovered and subscribed to your blog today. Your olive harvest story makes me regret less that we only have one olive tree. Let's sit at a table in a kafenieon soon. I'll tell you the story of our late, brave rescue horse, Astera.
